38th St/Washington is a standard street median light rail station consisting of an island platform in the median of Washington Avenue just west of the intersection with 38th Street, where the station's legal entrance is in the middle of the crosswalk. The other end of the platform consists of the emergency exit ramp down to track level that is often used by illegal by pedestrian. The stop has the standard three canopies providing shade along with the water fountain; some greenery is growing nicely inside them. There is a park and ride lot north of the station
