Spring Lake has a historic station house, who's origin year Google didn't help with locating. The signs though are in the normal (non-historic) font. The brick building painted pink has high gabled roofs with second story windows in the roofline. The roof extends on each side of the building (held up by narrow brown beams) providing canopy space to cover the station's TVMs The building has neat hexagonal windows. Stained glass labels doorways for Money, Station Master, and Waiting Room. This door leads into a small waiting room. When I visited in 2013 the hours were 4:30am till 2:00pm Monday through Sunday. Inside with two small restrooms, a small wraparound wooden bench and what resembles a ticket window with what appears to be it's own outside door, no door into the waiting room itself.
The station has two low-level platforms that begin at the grade-crossing of Warren Avenue and run south. The depot is slightly set back (with brown paving stones) from the middle of the northbound platform, with no other passenger amenities while the southbound platform has its own small bus shelter. There are 130 free parking spaces surround the depot. These are along the northbound platform, including some along Mercer Avenue, a street that is divided by the railroad line. Railroad Avenue, parallel to the southbound platform has 57 additional parking spaces.
