Cedar Grove Station is located just beyond the red line's train yards at Ashmont which are clearly in view from the station platform (along with the ramp the trolley cars go up to reach their loop at Ashmont Station and be above the subway platforms). The stop has the standard two side platforms each with an ADA mini-high platform. Outbound is completely bare except for signage, Inbound has the small canopy with windscreen bench and information panel. Both platforms are connected by a pedestrian grade crossing in their midsections. Access is provided to both sides of the platforms, the inbound platform is right along the curving intersection of Fellsway St and Milton St and also a pathway down from Hillsdale St.
