Kenmore is the station for Fenway Park and the amount of ads and Red Sox regalia throughout the relatively small station reinforce this. The stop has four tracks and two island platforms with 'B' branch trains stopping on the inside tracks and 'C' and 'D' on the outside tracks. For access each of these platforms has a staircase, up escalator and elevator up to a mezzanine area just beneath the street where a single set of fare gates are. There are three ways to access street level. One passageway leads straight back to a staircase, up escalator and an elevator to the modern bus loop with a large glass canopy in the middle of Commonwealth Ave. There is an additional streetstair out to the north sidewalk. A passageway leads to a staircase and elevator set within the Hotel Commonwealth on the southside of the large boulevard.
