Belmont Station is an unrenovated Commuter Rail station with just two commuter rail platforms for the two-track line and not even a fence between the tracks, located on an embankment. Each side platform even has a single entrance (although community members have formed other non-legal paths up to them). Concord Avenue goes beneath an underpass just east of the platforms. The outbound platform is accessed via a single staircase from Concord Av that curves around to reach it. Near this staircase there is a graffiti covered pedestrian underpass that connects the platforms. This leads to Royal Road and the stations old but large stone and Tudor style building that serves as the local Lions Club. The platform is accessed by an exterior staircase to one side of this two-story building. It is covered by the building's eves that provide the only sort of protection for waiting passengers
