This mural was located in the entrance to the tunnel out to Broadway and 190 Street. The project isn't an Arts For Transit Project but a Groundswell Community Mural Project Commissioned by the Mayor's Office and NYC Department of Transportation the nearly 1,000 foot tunnel is owned by New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) and not the MTA. The mural project takes the metaphore of New York and the subway to be a rolar coaster and has many different images. In the years after the mural was painted grafeti artists have gotten some of their scribble on the art, and throughout the rest of the tunnel. In January 2023, NYC DOT repainted the entire tunnel, causing some community uproar including from the City Councilperson.
