At the Start...At Long Last, 1999
By Sheila Levrant de Bretteville, Mirror mosaic text, silkscreened tiles, etched railings, and terrazzo pavers on the mezzanine.

The two mezzanines have have a unique installation playing on the fact the A trains terminus is at the northern tip of Manhattan, the easiest parts to spot are large silver tiles and pavers in the floor that say At The Start... and At Long Last... The rest of the installation is more subtle. The top railings that surround the main staircase down to the platform from 207 Street have musical notes for Take the A train. In additon the walls have single tiles with quotes both historical and from everyday people about Washington Heights an inwood. The inside of the elevator shaft has silowettes of people.
