Jersey Avenue is a HBLR station at the extreme southern end of redevelopment in downtown Jersey City. It is definitely the last station before stops become further apart and trains enter the older residential areas of Jersey City and Bayonne. It has an island platform that is along a private ROW, with a parking lot, including Regent Street above the station. Just before the station hits a curve to follow Jersey Avenue briefly as they meander their way around I-78 to get to the next stop Liberty State Park. The platform is a bit set back form the street so the station isn't on a curve, with one walkway form the end of the platform crossing the Bayonne-bound track before running straight back to Jersey Avenue, parallel to Regent Street and the other crosses the Hoboken-bound track before fallowing the curve of the tracks and continuing as the sidewalk along Jersey Avenue.

Artwork: All Art at the station is by Fred Wilson, who created platform mosaics that look like the periodic table, fencing that depicts pictures of elements and windscreens of nature. This is in response to the Jersey City Medical Center across the street.
