Delancy Street
Shad Crossing (Downtown Platform) and Delancey Orchard (Uptown Platform), 2004

These works consists of a large mural of an orchard on an uptown platform inspired by the DeLancey family's eighteenth century farm that stood on Orchard Street. The downtown platform is a few large, colorful murlas of Shad who are slowly returning to New York Harbor as water quality improves. In addition each platform has a small mosaic picture scattered along its walls, a Shad on the downtown platform and a few cherries on the uptown platform.
