Oculus, 1998
By Adrew Ginzel & Kristin Jones

This instalation consists of a collection of over 300 unique mosaic renderings of human eyes taken from photos of over 1,200 New Yorkers. They are small squares installed on mainly the mezzanine but also on a few of the staircases down to the platform walls. At the center of the mezzanine is a larger floor tile that resembles a map of the world with an eye as the central feature. The installation survived 9/11 completely intact.
