Belmont Avenue is Franklin Park's second station and is located on Metra's North Central Service. This new station opened as an infill station on January 30, 2006. The station is not to be confused by the original Franklin Park Station on the Milwaukee West Line, located a half-mile west of this station. This stop receives much more limited service, Belmont Avenue is the first stop, 15.8 miles from Union Station only served by the North Central Service, which share trackage with the Milwaukee West Line leaving Chicago until they curve onto the Canadian National Tracks just south of this station.

The station is located a short ways north of the Belmont Avenue grade-crossing, nestled in a low rise industrial area. Passengers access the station from Belmont Avenue via Brzezinski Court, a dead end access road to the station, which runs between low-rise industrial buildings (including the building housing Franklin Park Utilities). The station itself consists of a parking lot with 96 spaces along the east side of the tracks. For passengers there is a small, futuristic looking brick and glass (with an angled roof) triangular small station house. The station house contains a small 'standing only' waiting area without benches. Metra Franklin Park Belmont is etched in the glass along the platform. This structure also covers and is integrated architecturally with the ramp and staircase up to the platforms, which are at a slightly higher grade than the parking lot. This station house is along platform #2 for Main Track 2, this platform is used by only one daily train (Outbound Train #101), all other trains board from island Platform 1, servicing Main Track #1. This is a very narrow island platform between Main Tracks #1 and #2, accessed via a pedestrian crossing at the southern end of the platforms across Main Track #2. There is a third track, West FRT, Lead that doesn't platform at the station. The stop has no other amenities except the small futuristic station house. There only one platform sign beyond the southern end of the island platform which reads Belmont Ave./Franklin Park.
