Virginia is the northernmost stop in the middle of the Guadalupe Parkway and only intermediate stop to open on August 17, 1990 in the first phase of this line that opened only to Tamien. The station has a single island platform with Virginia Street crossing over the northern end of the platform. Here there are staircases up to each side of the street and elevator only up to the north side of Virginia Street at the extreme end of the platform. There is a TVM and Clipper Card tapper at each entrance and not on the platform. For waiting passengers, the platform has a single canopy structure with tiled columns and tiles with Virginia and the direction of the exit written beneath.
