Bayshore/NASA

Bayshore/NASA is light rail stop on a private ROW along the south side of the Moffett Federal Airfield that is owned and operated by NASA as the Ames Research Center. The light rail stop has a single island platform with two green canopy structures that cover TVMs and have wind-screened benches. The platform has artwork that consists of a two-dimensional silver structure of a bowl. In the middle of it is an etching of an eagle. This bowl is Ohlone Marker by Linda Yamane, 1999. Access to the platform is at either end. The grade crossing at the western end is Manila Drive that curves and runs parallel to the tracks (between them and the US-101 Bayshore Freeway) with a drop-off loop that looks unused. From here there is a walkway (Via Dolci) to Macon Road and into the airport (not near any buildings). At the other end of the platform is a pedestrian crossing across the southern, Mountain View-bound track to the other end of the small bus loop.
