Seaport Village

Seaport Village is the most northern stop on the Waterfront Extension which opened on June 30, 1990. It presently has primarily service from the Orange line on its loop back to 12th and Imperial from downtown but will be replaced by the Green Line in September 2012. The station is along a curving portion of this private Right of Way with two trolley tracks with two side platforms that run between the grade crossings of Market Street and where the tracks cross Kettner Blvd and G Street diagonally at a grade. The two side platforms, which have gotten two inches added to them for the low floor S70s from their original six inch heights, each have a single red shelter. The Downtown or Old Town-bound platform's shelter has a light blue flat wave with the station's name Seaport Village written on it. The 12th & Imperial-bound platform has the Martin Luther King Promenade running alongside it and there is a third freight track on the other side of both. A low fence separates the promenade from the actual platform. The stop is scheduled to be completely closed from July to September 2012 (after Convention Center reopens) to be rebuilt for compatibility with S70s on the Green Line due to begin stopping at the station in September
