Retiro is the northern terminus of Linea C. It serves the city's major bus terminal and rail station (also named Retiro). The station has a high compacity design of a central island platform and two side platforms for the two track line. The two side platforms function as exit platforms. Doors are opened first on the exit platform side before being opened on the main platform side so new passengers can board. The stations exits are all beyond the bumper blocks with only turnstiles at the etrance to the island platforms. The side platforms have no fare control barriers, its just assumed no one will try and walk the wrong direction onto them at this extremely busy station. | |||
