Plaza de Mayo

Plaza de Mayo is on the terminus of the Linea A. The station is located in one of the main squares in Buenos Aires, including Casa Rosado, the president's house. The station has one island platform for the two terminating tracks, trains cross-over before the station and relay within the station. An interesting feature of the station is that one track provides a track connection to Linea D just after the trains terminate at the Cathedral station, the back car of Linea D trains are clearly visible from the station considering the fact the switch is within the station. If theoretically each line could tolerate only having one track to terminate (trains are so crowded to begin with, with quite frequent service, this wouldn't be possible) a cross-platform transfer could be provided between the two lines.
