Airtrain JFK Termial 4-International Terminal

Terminal 4 is the main international terminal, and the biggest. After Airtrain was built the MTA buses that enter JFK (they costs only $2.00! with free transfers to the subway) the B15 and Q3 began serving it as their only terminal stop in JFK, instead of looping around and stopping at all terminals. It makes the ride much faster. The station itself is located in the terminal building making it seem like it could be underground except for a skylight above. It is probably the station with the most use, due to both volume of people I saw and the fact I believe it has the most flights and traffic to it of any. The station has the typical island platform like all others in the terminal loop.

(t41) Stopped before entering Terminal 4, the station in its building looms ahead. We are stopped due to another train just ahead in the station, this station is Jamiaca-bound. I was on a Howard Beach-bound train. Photo by Jeremiah Cox, 9 January, 2005 (t42) Above platform door, there is a sign saying "Fallow arrow to board" since inner loop trains use only one car, and I'm not at the center of the platform. There is also a sign pasted on the steele above the door saying Terminal 4. Photo by Jeremiah Cox, 9 January, 2005
